2021 Virtual Conference Information (We will no longer be offering an in-person component.)
AGC 2021 Registration, Abstract, and Session Proposal Submission Update (updated September 3) Our conference registration portal and our abstract and session submission portal (both operated by the AAG) are now open. Note the following: (1) You must create an account on the AAG website in order to register for the conference. You will not have to pay for membership - you are registering as a guest with an "AAG Explorer" account to access the registration portal.
(2) Conference registration must occur before conference participants can submit an abstract or session proposal. The abstract and session submission portal is a separate portal.
(3) After you have registered for the conference, to submit a abstract or session proposal please log in to the abstract and session submission portal. You will need to use the registration you created in step #1 to access this submission portal. When you log in to this submission portal, you will see the following screen:
(3) To submit an abstract or session proposal for the AGC conference, find the menu row from the screen above that includes the menus "HOME MY ACCOUNT AGC APCG EL/WL GPRM..." (4) Hover over the "AGC" menu in that menu row. When you do this, a submenu will appear below "AGC" as follows:
(5) Select either the "Submit an Abstract" or "Submit a Session" option, depending on what you wish to do.

AGC 2021 Conference Dates: Thursday October 14 to Saturday 16, 2021

The AGC board of directors is pleased to invite you to attend the 2021 edition of the conference, the majority of which will be held virtually from October 14 through 16. However, we are excited to also announce a partnership with several AAG regional divisions to cooperate on a joint, online experience. Specific conference features to anticipate include:

AGC is working to build another great student competition opportunity for students to display their geospatial skills and knowledge
Our signature reception networking events will continue online, providing an excellent chance for conference attendees to build new collaborations and meet old friends.

The AGC exists to promote the application of geographic insights and analysis in all areas of society. Our annual conference is an opportunity for practitioners, academics, and students to share research and application ideas. Our peer-reviewed journal, Papers in Applied Geography, is the conference's flagship publication, featuring research and commentary from across the breadth of applied geography.
