Connecting to the AGX Community through AGX Ambassadors
Are you new to the AGX – Community of Applied Geographers Conference? Do you want to know more about us? Need help navigating the meeting? Do you want to better connect with us and other members of the Community?  Our ambassadors are here for you.
The Applied Geography Conference has long stood as a community that cares for each other.  In that tradition, we are launching our Ambassadors Program in 2025. Our AGX Board Members are this year’s ambassadors.

Conference Information

The AGX Board is pleased to have the Applied Geography community join us in St. Louis, Missouri on October 22nd through 24th for our Annual meeting.
Specific conference features included:
  • As usual, a wide range of stimulating paper and panel session opportunities that brought together practitioners and researchers from across the spectrum of applied geography.
  • Another great student competition opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to display their geospatial skills and knowledge
  • Our signature reception networking events, providing an excellent chance for conference attendees to build new collaborations and meet old friends.

We also want to note that the conference journal, Papers in Applied Geography, welcomes contributions from registered attendees of AGX 2025. Upon submitting your manuscripts, please mention your attendance to the conference in the cover letter to receive expedited handling of reviews of your manuscripts. All subfields of applied geography will be considered.
