The AGX Board is pleased to have the Applied Geography community join us in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on November 5th and 6th for the in-person portion of our annual meeting. The Board also looks forward to continuing the meeting online on November 12th and 13th.
Part I: In-Person Community Gathering
November 5–6, 2026; University of Pittsburgh; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The in-person meeting will emphasize professional networking, collaboration, mentoring, workshops, discussion, and community. Registration for the in-person meeting also includes access to the online component of the conference.
Part II: Virtual Research Conference
November 12–13, 2026; Online
The virtual conference will provide an accessible forum for presenting research, applied projects, teaching innovations, technical developments, and professional experiences to an international audience. Registration for the online meeting also includes access to the in-person component of the conference.
A single registration provides access to both components of the blended conference. The registration deadline is October 12, 2026.

Conference Scope
AGX 2026 welcomes contributions that demonstrate how geographic knowledge, spatial methods, geospatial technologies, and interdisciplinary collaboration can be applied to contemporary social, environmental, economic, and technological challenges.
Submissions may present completed research, work in progress, applied case studies, methodological advances, educational innovations, professional practices, or collaborative initiatives. Contributions that connect geographic theory with practical applications are particularly encouraged.
